TWO WEEKS OLD

The ducklings are two weeks old now and have just about tripled in size. I named the girls flower names{Petunia, Tulip, Lily & Iris} The drake has been named Pollen. The little chick friends that came with them for warmth during shipment found a new home yesterday.

Meet Petunia [left] she is half the size of the rest of the group. We are not sure why. She's eating and drinking just as well as the rest of the group. She is just precious. When she arrived I noticed she was weaker and slightly smaller then her mates and she seems to have a lot more black coloring on her. You can definitely see the difference two weeks later.

COMING SOON

The Quack Pack will be arriving next week. They are Magpie ducklings. They are on the http://www.livestockconservancy.org/index.php/heritage/internal/magpie CRITICAL list. They are a white and black duck of a light weight. I decided to get them to help keep the slug population down on my hobby farm. www.shadycreek.webs.com. Slugs can cause lungworm in goats. My girls have had lungworm in the past due to slugs. Keep your fingers crossed that my new ducklings will grow up to be awesome slug hunters. Hopefully you will enjoy the curious antics of these duckling. Makes sure to follow their journey to the right of this page. ENJOY :)
